Our Volunteer Programme

Our Exchange Programme - foresees a 3-12 months residence and work experience in African Countries for qualified young German school leavers and medical professionals, especially nurses and physiotherapists who are willing to experience new challenges in African countries.

Under the motto: “Doing something is better than just talking and waiting for manner to fall from Heaven” we are looking for European medical volunteers who wish to gain a richer, deeper understanding of the peculiar circumstances in African countries and how these affect the medical care system. The uncomparable experiences gained through such hospitals-internships abroad, will definitely broaden the scope of individual skills and reinforce social and multi-cultural competence of young European medical professionals who otherwise would have never visited countries outside the European Union.

Conclusively, because of the new experience gained, participants in our exchange programme have a unique addendum to their curriculum vitae and consequently, a better chance in getting new jobs in their specialties.

Requirements For Participation:
Those who wish to register for our Exchange Programme are expected to show a deep Interest in helping the needy, open-mindedness to a new culture and fluency in written/spoken English. Interested candidates should be interested in African current affaires, be fluent in spoken and written English and must have a deep concern/ understanding or the will to understand and to seeking solutions to the socio-economic problems of the developing nations of the African Continent. We expect enthusiasm to support a worthy cause.

We see our action on the Medical Exchange Programme as very vital to contributing immensely to the realisation of a free, liberal, multicultural and informed society. Through this project, we intend to contribute actively in bridging racial barriers, foster multicultural understanding and a balanced perception of the situation in Africa which also backs the core aim of the EuroAfricaCentral Network.
